The internet is a place in which we gather all sorts of information and tutorials hence we take a look at how certain things are done, things that have always left us in dilemmas. As most of you know massive blades used for windmills are one of the most difficult items to transport. They are enormous and often require building a completely new road and route specifically for that use. But instead of doing this, a wing carrier was invented that gets the job done much easier and much faster.
This transport takes place in Scotland and this demonstration is the best thing you are going to see today. Even though at first look this 90 degrees turn looks impossible, just wait for the professional driver to do his job. This 200 foot long blade is attached to the special wing carrier. At the beginning we can see the truck making the first turn but then great precision is required. The driver moves very slowly and carefully in order to avoid any crash that might be super expensive.
The wheels of the wing carrier trailer move at an angle which means that even though the truck moves straight forward, they can be maneuvered into any direction you want according to the needs. Just couple of minutes after, this super dangerous turn is completed and no damage was caused during the process.
