Kettenkrad Motorcycle Going On Sale – Do You Want A Motorcycle Tank?

The Kettenkrad motorcycle is a very obscure piece of technology that was made in the Second World War by Nazi Germany, but it`s still a fine piece of work. The name “Kettenkrad” comes from the words “ketten” which means “tracks” and “kraftrad” which means “motorcycle”, and it`s pretty much that – a motorcycle tank that the Germans designed to tow their artillery faster than any allied Jeeps ever could. While the war was going on, the Kettenkrad bikes were sent off to all corners of the front and deployed into action, not only because they were really cool but because they fit into aircraft that would transport them.

They were much more stable and faster than their allied counterparts, meaning they would be a favorite with the people using them. The Kettenkrad motorcycle was produced in small numbers, only 8000 were ever made, most of which were scrapped immediately after the Nazis lost the war. This machine has an incredibly easy to operate system that lets you handle pretty much any terrain.

You steer it like a bike, and yet it has wonderful power in the back, having a 1400cc engine that was top of its tech back in the 40s, as well as a really cool tele-lever fork usually found on BMWs. It can go up to an astounding 50 miles per hour on paved roads, making the Kettenkrad motorcycle perfect for towing pretty much anything. One conserved machine is selling for $74,000-$96,000 at an auction, if you want one of these now is the time!
