Let us give you a warning: Don`t expect too much from what you are about to see, as we said it is a good energy transfer, yet still it cannot transfer big amounts of energy, but on the other hand it is a neat toy and some quite good engineering. Namely, it’s a mini Stirling engine which works on the following concept: candle heats the air which expands and pushes the piston out and cools, inertia of the wheel pushes the cylinder back in and compresses the air again and process repeats.

Fun fact is that hot air balloons in the past have been working this way too. Hot air engines have been built in quite large sizes, in V8 configuration, running off waste heat from smoke stacks, developing up to 300 horses.
