9-Second 96 Chevrolet Caprice – Is This The Fastest Hearse?

Arne Toman, AMS Performance`s vice president has been the owner of a various odd projects among which is the not as famous Van AMS -- Expres, which went to mid 12-sec with stunning turbocharged LS motor and AWD. He puts turbo LS motor in every car. Anyhow, we are here to discuss the 96 Chevrolet Caprice “Hearse” famous by the name of Madness.

Namely, the beast has a 6.0-liter truck stock engine with modified turbocharger system, 4L80E and S480R turbo. This combination boosted the top speed to 161 miles per hour at the “Wanna Go Fast” that took place in Chicago. All of this contributed for the eventual running 9-sec with the stock engine with 6.0-liter, not an easy assignment in about 5000 pounds handler of stiffs.
