Great Moment! Lewis Hamilton Receives Ayrton Senna Crash Helmet!

Lewis Hamilton has received an original Ayrton Senna crash helmet when he equaled with the Brazilian legend on won pole positions. This happened after Lewis Hamilton managed to win pole position in the 2017 Canadian Grand Prix. Winning 65 pole positions and equaling with the Brazilian racing legend is no joke, and given the fact that Hamilton is a huge fan of Senna, the Senna family decided to gift him Ayrton`s original racing helmet. Four-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, was left in tears and speechless when he was gifted the helmet.

Lewis Hamilton has always made many tributes to Ayrton Senna in the past. His original yellow helmet was even inspired by Ayrton Senna`s helmet. Lewis Hamilton went on to say that as a kid he always wanted to emulate the Brazilian racing legend. However, the Ayrton Senna crash helmet he received after winning his 65 pole position was actually a replica. But, the original version from the 1987 season was sent to his home at a later date. When Hamilton was gifted the helmet, he immediately removed it out of its case and kissed it before giving a speech.



He was even spotted with the helmet under his arm during the mandatory photo shoot for the top 3 qualifiers. As we said, this occurred at the 2017 Canadian Grand Prix. In the races that followed, Lewis Hamilton went on to surpass even Michael Schumacher`s record of 68 pole positions. After winning his fourth world title, Lewis Hamilton now sets eyes on Michael Schumacher`s record of 7 world titles.
