Hello my dear fellow Gearheads. If you are the type of car aficionado, who has a strong affections for the great off-road vehicles that seemed to be able to go just about anywhere you can think of, then the following video will definitely be a real bulls-eye for all of you! Just as the title is saying, this is one truly crazy French built, an electric off-road vehicle called the Spider car, that can go places where not even the best proven off-road trucks would even dream about going. And trust me, this is no exaggeration!
Its secret about being able to overcome all kinds of difficult off-road obstacles lies pretty much in its name – the spider. It has extremely lightweight construction, and above all, insanely inventive independent suspension setup, that makes it twist and bend in almost all kinds of conditions. It has four big control arms, and each one of them has its own electric engine, mounted on its wheels, and as a result of it, it has an incredible articulation that makes all four wheels to be stable and firmly planted on the ground at every moment.
Earlier on, I have mentioned that the Spider car can go places where most of the off-road trucks would never dare. However, the only disadvantage I could detect watching the video, is in its tiny wheels and not so big engine power, if it finds itself stuck in a mud. In a case like that, I think that the Spidercar would have problems!
