Huge engines have always fascinated me. I used to watch old shows about huge machines and their great big engines and it was always fun to hear the rumble of giant engines starting up. It doesn`t matter if they`re in tanks, combines, locomotives or any other huge machine – they have a unique predisposition to make you shake with excitement as they take more and more fuel towards their insides and convert it into kinetic energy that will move a machine weighing more than a few tons. Usually, the machines were so big that I didn`t think anything could move them, but these engines are beasts and they overcame the obstacles every time.
That`s exactly what`s going on in this video as well – giant engines start up and let you feel the rumble of vibrations again. However, since they spend an extraordinary amount of fuel, if you`re near them when they`re starting up, be prepared to breathe in a mouthful of smoke. Most of these engines came before ecological standards, but they have retained their charm from the old days as well.
