EDWARD – Futuristic Electric Diwheel With Active Rotation Dumping!

7 years ago, students from an Australian university in Adelaide came up with one insane futuristic electric diwheel that resembles a spacecraft from Star Wars. This eccentric machine for one person is equipped with an electric motor and two wheels. However, don`t be fooled by its design because this machine can move at pretty high speeds. The Australian students have named their ingenious invention EDWARD. The design of this dicycle includes one pair of huge wheels and between them a driver`s seat, electronic control system and an electric motor is mounted.

EDWARD Futuristic Electric Diwheel 2

The lead-acid battery and electric motor of this diwheel can last for an entire hour of riding. However, if you are economical with your battery, it can last much longer. Yeah folks, welcome to the future. Some may presume that an electric diwheel design of this type might make it difficult to maintain the rider`s seat level properly, especially when accelerating or using the brakes. However, these brainy students have definitely found a solution to this potential problem.

They developed and installed an in-built slosh and lateral stability control that makes EDWARD allow riders to ride in any direction they want while the seat is fixed. This control system has the ability to calculate and set the most efficient level of the diwheel`s seat after every movement. When it comes to EDWARD`s maximum speed it goes at pretty impressive 25mph. Not bad at all for an electric diwheel, right?

One other great feature of this diwheel is that you can ride it upside-down, if you wish. Finally, check out the future roads that are coming from the Netherlands!
