75-Year Old BUGATTI 100p Model Finally Stretched Its Wings!

I know that when it comes to Bugatti, the first things that comes to your mind is not an airplane, but one of the well know, out-of-this-world supercars that are ready to break down the sound wall and achieve the fastest speed known to man, when it comes to four-wheel vehicles. However, today we are going back in the history, and will show you a video with one long forgotten airborne project of Bugatti, that was brought back to life and proved to be a success! It goes by the name Bugatti 100p model!

As you could have read in the title, the story begins in the year of 1940, at the beginning of the WWII, when Nazi Germany troops were advancing all over Europe. During those sour times, the legendary Parisian automobile maker Ettore Buggati had designed and constructed an original airplane, and hidden it at his estate, located outside the city. And because pretty soon after, France got occupied by Germany, the project named Bugatti 100p was abandoned.

That is until now, when a group of enthusiasts decided to make an exact replica of the Bugatti`s unique airplane, which according to many, it was not just a real masterpiece, but probably the most elegant airplane ever designed, and back in those days, technologically the most advanced flying machine. The goal of the Bugatti 100p model was pretty simple – guys wanted to find out whether it will successfully fly.

So they have raised more than $60 000, reproduced the aircraft and as you can guess, it really flew away! So, if you want to see this historic moment yourself, take a look at this video and enjoy it! And if you want to learn something more about this project, go to this link.
