Wide Load Coming Through: Boeing 747 Aircraft Seen Transported!

This Boeing 747 aircraft was commonly seen high up in the sky, transporting jet-setters to many corners of the planet. However, everything comes to an end, this Boeing 747 was decommissioned and needed to be transported to its new destination. However, in order to be transported, it caused a lot of travel misery throughout Britain as it crawled on the highway accompanied by a police escort. The front section of the plane with the cockpit included was traveling from Cotswold Airport located in Kemble down the A419 highway which is located between Swindon and Cirencester. The new life of the airplane may not be that noble now but it`s not that bad either.

The disused plane was eventually put back together in Staffordshire in order to provide a neat studio for students learning interior design. The airplane weighs 60-tonnes and measures 22-ft wide, 16ft high and is 137-ft long. However, transporting this massive Boeing 747 aircraft is definitely no easy task for both the people transporting it and the ones who need to travel down the same highways. As you can see, the disused aircraft that`s attacked on the lorry`s back is occupying two lanes as it heads onto Staffordshire. This plane has first flown back in 1970 and this model held the capacity record for almost 40 years.
