Anyone who considers himself a hardcore Gearhead, and a big time muscle car aficionado, has a direct relationship with the movie cars, in a sense that most of us have started to develop our love and passion towards the powerful and fast cars, watching motion pictures. Of course, there are many other factors and experiences that we have had as children, that has contributed to our attitude towards powerful cars we have today. But the influence and the impact of the movie muscle cars and those thrilling and utterly suspenseful car chase scenes is undoubtful and beyond any debate!
On the other hand, one of the things that are open for a debate is what movies and car chase scenes are better. The ones from the period of the 70s and 80s, or the modern films of today?! The general impression is that contemporary Hollywood movies have a serious lack of reality and suspense, and that they are full with way too much CGIs (Computer Generate Images). And if you ask me, with a few exceptions (like Tarantino`s “Death Proof” and a few others), the oldies are definitely champions, when it comes to car chase scenes.
That is why we often show you videos with some of the best car chase scenes from those movies. And today, our choice has fallen on the movie “The Wraith” from 1986, and the awesome chase scene between the 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with a blower on the hood, and that futuristic and ominous looking concept supercar from that period.
So check it out and enjoy the magic and allure of this awesome scene. And if you want to see an interesting list of Top 10 car chase scenes by CNN, go to this link.
