Trump Told Japan To Manufacture Their Cars In The US 2 (2)

There have been tons of controversies that followed the US president Donald Trump ever since he became president, and even before that. But Trump was not paying much attention and he went on doing his work. Lately he was on an official visit, for the first time since he became president, to Japan. Besides the other aspects or plans they have been talking about, Trump suggested to Japan that they should build and manufacture their cars in the US instead of shipping them in the US.

Trump shared his thoughts with couple of other business executives from Japan. He hopes that this is going to become a reality any time soon. In fact, three out of four Japanese car brands that have been sold in the US were put together on the continent. Something that might confirm this statement by Trump is the fact that Toyota and Mazda have already invested $1.6 billion to make their own manufacturing plant in the US.

This would also mean that there are going to be more working positions for US citizens in the area. Trump also said that Japan was the one that was winning in terms of the trade deals they have made over the last couple of decades. Moreover, Trump announced that the Japanese PM, Shinzo Abe, has been ordering lots of military equipment from the US, and this trend will continue to grow in the future.

What do you think, should Japanese car companies manufacture their vehicles in the US?
