Water-Methanol Injection System Of A Supercharged Duramax 871S!

The Banks Power guys are taking another huge step forward introducing their new water-methanol injection. We all know what our engine wants and when it performs the best – when the intake air is cool! Your engine power will remain robbed and trapped if anything that heats the air gets near your cylinders. Banks Power`s supercharged Duramax 871S cools down the engine by pumping water and methanol, although in this test that you are about to see, they are using 100% pure water.

These injections were used for a long time by aircraft pilots, racers and even hot-rodders. They would simply use a water injection to cool the intake air, and occasionally add methanol for extra power. We are pretty sure you have never seen a view like this in a dyno video, since the guys from Banks Powers removed the scoop to enable the best point of view for you (it even rhymes)! This was done with a pull from 1000-5500 rpm and a blower speed of 16.500.

So there you go guys, if you want to feel some more of the noise and power of this supercharged Duramax, check out this testing and enjoy it.
