Basically, this Koenigsegg Engine is the same as the one you can find under the hood of the famous Regera, although this one is naturally aspirated with a link to a six-speed manual transmission with an exposed linkage. According to Christian Von Koenigsegg, the main task for the company was to lower the power this structure can produce, because Spyker needed only 600 horses, instead of 1500. As a result of that, this Koenigsegg engine comes with smaller exhausts and injectors, as well as reduced compression ratio and intake for normal aspiration.
Super small means super accurate. There is no doubt that Spyker’s automobiles will get enriched with a precious engine that according to Mr. Koenigsegg, will last for 200 years or something thanks to the bulletproof feature. This year, Spyker managed to sell all their 50 Preliator coupes, so we are guessing their plans to grow even bigger have just started.
