Australian`s Jack Miller became the first rider to win for an independent team since 2006, 10 years ago! Marc Marquez and Scott Reading finished second and third! The Dutch TT race was affected by massive rain and red flagged at the 15 lap while being restarted for the remaining 12 laps! Valentino Rossi at the restart quickly gained the first place only to crash soon after in the rain lashing race!
There were huge mishaps for other riders as well. Andrea Dovizioso who was in competition for the victory lost control of his bike and crashed at turn 12! Other drivers who were affected by the terrible rainy conditions at the Dutch TT were: Dani Pedrosa, Bradley Smith, Alvaro Bautista and Aleix Espargaro!
