Your Scratched ALUMINUM RIMS Need A REPAIR?

If you face troubles with your scratched aluminum rims, we have the solution for you. This video tutorial will show you how to get rid of the curb/gutter rash, a clear coat that bubbles up and the always unpleasant scratches. In order to prepare the wheel you want to treat, you ought to remove the rim from the car, leave the tire on and take the center cap out as well. Logically, isn`t it? Now, it is time for the real deal. The whole procedure is consisted of five easy steps. Cleaning the rim, sanding the scratches, stripping the clear coat, polishing the rim and covering the rim with a clear coat.

First, start by cleaning the rims using soap and water. Then, you have to make sure that you have the right tool for completing the sanding. The best one is a rotary tool with 200+ grit flap wheel and of course various types of wet and dry sand paper. Next, you have to strip the clear coat using a chemical stripper which MUST NOT touch your skin or the tire. After you finish sanding, you will need a metal polish to polish the rim. Finally, grab your clear coat and spray the scratched aluminum rims. That`s pretty much it. NOTE: We just gave you the overview. If you decide to do this on your own, be sure to watch the whole video.
