New Rolls Royce Metropolitan Phantom at 2014 Paris Motor Show!

As it was previously announced and therefore expected, the new Rolls Royce Metropolitan Collection, a limited edition, had its debut at this year`s car expo in Paris. The company stated that it will offer only 20 units of the Phantom, so even if you are willing to spend a `few millions` for this extraordinary example of mechanical perfection, do not get your hopes high.

From what we could find out, marquetry that was used in the building process of the interior of this car, is consisted from 500 hand-made, wood veneer pieces, for which it takes days to be assembled properly. So I guess we should not be surprised why only 20 units will be build.

And the marquetry is not the only thing that makes the difference with the Phantom. There will be a unique aetherius gray leather color inside each car, as a symbol of color palette of every modern city in the world today. Also there will be some kind of rotating fold, on which the names of 24 cities from around the world will be displayed, along with the time zones. Thus, the Phantom will have a lot of other customized parts, according to the owner`s taste and preferences.

Under the hood of the Rolls Royce Metropolitan Phantom there is a 6.75 liter V12 engine that generates 453 HP and 531 ponds feet of torque. These numbers gives the Phantom an ability to hit from 0 to 62 in 5.7 seconds and its maximum speed is set at 149 mph. Now take a closer look of everything that is hiding behind the numbers and fancy words.

Anyway, you might not believe it, but we have a video of a Rolls Royce drifting in the Country!
