GR-1 Ford Shelby 2005 Concept Model Posing In Front Of A Camera!

The collaboration between the Ford Motor Company and Carroll Shelby lasts for almost five decades, and in that time this team has come up with some of the best race and street cars America has ever known! In 20014 this team started working on another project alongside with Advanced Product Creation group to make the Ford Shelby Cobra concept. Inspired by the success of this automobile, Ford came up with an idea to create the beast which is right here – the Ford Shelby 2005 GR-1!

It was brought to life at the Irvine Advanced Design Studio as a brainchild of the junior designer George Saridakis. This sketch attracted the attention of Ford`s head designer J. Mays. Surprisingly, there were only 3 sketches made of this model! Moreover, this automobile is based on the Ford GT platform and there is 605 horsepower, V10 engine laying beneath the hood. It makes you feel like it is going fast even when is parked. Above the hood, there is one huge air dam combined with two big hood vents. The Ford Shelby 2005 was sold for $82,500 and the assets were designated to help the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
