So how this car did become so famous and desired? Well, during the filming of the legendary Dukes of Hazzard hundreds of these cars would have been used in every scene. The movie was so popular back in the days that even more such cars were made to pay tribute to the movie. Hereby we take a look at this amazing story of the 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee that was once owned by John “Bo Duke” Schneider.

This specific car was built by the Duke Boys but it never got the chance to feature in the show, but nonetheless, this car has some history behind its name. When the car was finished and was ready to go, it somehow ended up in the ownership of the former NBA star Jalen Rose. During this time some of the legendary features of this 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee features were changed, such as the number and the name above the window.



However everything was returned to original and this car was up for auction in 2015. It failed to reach its desirable price of $200,000. But they do not plan on stopping there. This car will feature in yet another auction that is going to be held at Mecum Auction in Las Vegas in mid-November. The Charger is also signed by Rose and the Dukes of Hazzards crew too!
