2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat – First Drive Experience!

Here we go again with the one and only, the best and most powerful muscle car that has ever come out of Detroit factories, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. I know that you are well familiar with its numbers, 707 HP and 650 pound feet of torque, coming out of the 6.2 liter Supercharged Hemi V8 motor, mated to the Chrysler`s 8-speed automatic transmission (there is also an option of 6-speed automatic), which makes it hit from 0 to 62 in 3.4 seconds, and it takes 11.2 seconds to cross the Quarter-Mile finish line.

Today we have decided to go with a video of the first drive test on the track, and on the drag strip, to demonstrate in a `visual mode` all those impressive numbers. But first, we got to say a word or two, about its style and appearance, starting with that split front grille and the enlarged hood bulge, which are giving the car the right doze of a modern look, at the same time managing to keep the well known body lines of the original 1970 Dodge Challenger (even though the guy in the video is talking about the 1971 model, which is practically the same).

When it comes to the interior, it is obvious (and only normal) from the very first look in it, that there are big and drastic changes, especially with the new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat model, that got a whole `new` Chrysler treatment, probably one of the best jobs this legendary brand has done. There is an 8.4 inch color touch screen and a 7 inch color TFT display at the center, for all the needs and requirements that a modern age muscle car need.

Now watch the video below, and enjoy the power and beauty of the 2015 Challenger Hellcat. For more detailed first drive experience report, go to this link.
