The Best ‘Toy’ I have Ever Seen – Giant RC Airbus A380 Plane!

You have got to give it to the guy. Peter Michel has made a perfect replica of the world`s biggest civilian airplane, French – German Airbus A380, and it is by far one of the best and coolest things I have ever seen in my life. Unlike most of us, the Swiss RC aircraft enthusiast Peter Michel (who also happens to be a pilot) is taking his hobby pretty serious. It actually took him over 5 000 working hours in a period of 8 months to built and construct this 1 : 15 scale miniature RC Airbus A380.

And even though his Airbus can not really compete with the real thing, it still has something to show off. It is powered by four JetCat P 120 jet turbines, it has completely working flaps, rudder and steering system and total weight of 155 pounds. One of the `problems` this RC Airbus A380 has is in its small 2.5 gallon fuel tank, so that pretty much limits its range, which means that it can only stay airborne for about 8 minutes.

But, if you do not plan to fly with it from New York to Moscow, that should not be a serious issue. You have got to rmember that this thing was built for fun and pure pleasure and personal satisfaction. Watch the video bellow and see it for yourself just how realistic this R/C Airbus is, especially when it is rolling down the strip and takes off into the air.
