But what makes this race boat so exceptional and what is so special about it. Well, it is called “Miss Detroit III” and it is powered by a massive V12 engine taken out from an aircraft. This rare 1916 Curtis V12 aircraft engine used to be more than enough to make this race boat one of the fastest ones out there. One of the legendary racers that used this boat is Gar Wood who also won the 1918 Gold Cup race.

But taking a closer look at this 100 years old beauty will reveal all of its glory and pride. It was built with ultimate precision and every piece speaks for itself. Hearing this awesome machine in action is even better and it is guaranteed to make you fall in love the moment you hear it.

What do you think, could this be the the coolest classic race boat you have ever seen?
