Every now and then we find an interesting story about finding interesting cars. While most of the time, these vehicles sit in a barn somewhere, today`s story is not like that. In this story, the vehicle that was “found“ was actually used all the time, without anyone realizing its importance! This story comes from Arizona, and it features the first Ford Bronco prototype from 1966!
It was used for almost 40 years by Vincent Yakubanski, who purchased this vehicle way back in 1978 for a mere $100. In all this time, Vincent never realized that he might possibly have the very first Ford Bronco ever made!
There are quite a lot of interesting details to this story. Before Vincent purchased the Bronco, it used to belong to Mr. Carroll Shelby, famous car designer who is noted for his work on the popular Shelby Cobra! Vincent sold his pickup to a man named Seth, who decided to check all the materials concerning the car.
Much to his surprise, the VIN number indicated that it was a pre-production vehicle, making it possibly the first Ford Bronco ever! Now, this vehicle will be restored and enter automotive history. The restoration will be done by famed Bronco guru Andrew Norton, who has been focused working on rare Ford Broncos.
