Chris Lentz’s Ford F-150 Powered by Motorlet M 701 Jet Moto!

Human desire and natural urge to try and break all the limits and achieve our maximum potential on different fields of creativity, is very powerful force and motivator that gives us an inspiration and strength to overcome even the biggest obstacles and fulfill our dreams. And when it comes to the 60 year old electrical foreman Chris Lentz from Jackson, Michigan, he is a guy who was chasing his own childhood dream of creating the wildest hybrid vehicle out there! The moment when his vision started to take a real form and shape was when he met New York City pilot, who was in a business of importing used turbojet engines. So Lentz produced $ 10 K and went home with Czechoslovakian Motorlet M 701 turbojet with a centrifugal compressor and 7 combustion chambers. Later on he bought this 2005 Ford F-150 STX truck for $ 12 000 and little by little, started to assemble it.

The final result is this 2,700HP monster, with a 20 gallon kerosene tank (it burns one to five gallons a minute) that weights about 6,600 pounds. Its maximum speed is 140 mph, it hits from 0 to 60 in 8.5 seconds and a quarter mile in 14.5 seconds. Maybe the numbers do not look so hot, but check out the video and get the full magnitude of this great jet F-150 truck.
