Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route represents a mountain sightseeing path which is 56 miles long. This route stretches across the 1.8 miles high North Alpine mountains which are also called “roof of Japan“. These mountains connect Shinano Omachi and Toyama. This amazing panorama can be enjoyed by highland bus, train, cable car, trolley bus and a ropeway. The lines were opened in 1971, and since then, the Tateyama area has gone from isolated ground into some of the nation`s greatest sightseeing areas. Millions of guests visit this sightseeing spot every year. The most famous thing to see here is the massive 65-foot snow corridor.
