The BMW 8 Series Is Back! Harald Krüger, the chairman of the board of BMW, today confirmed that the BMW 8 will arrive in 2018. He said: “Today is a very good day” at the BMW meeting today in Munich, Germany.
He announced that at the end of this month they will unveil the new exclusive design concept of the upcoming BMW 8 Series coupe at the Concorso d`Eleganza Villa d`Est.
Mr. Krüger also informed that BMW 8 will be build according to their tradition of luxurious sports coupes and their company expects this model to be the most genuine dream car to their model line up.
They are pretty sure BMW 8 will go straight for the leadership in the luxury coupe segment.

After the BMW 6 Series Coupe was discontinued, this is a right move by BMW to fulfill the lineup with this new amazing executive coupe-shaped model. As well all know the rumors of the BMW 8 Series Coupe have been around for years and we are happy it’s finally happening. BMW will finally have a luxury flagship like their competitor Mercedes-Benz.
The original BMW 8 was built with V8 or V12 engines, from 1989 to 1999 and in that time was a technological powerhouse, but at the same time was a failure at the marketplace, due to the very high price tag and the rise of the SUVs segment at the expense of the luxury coupes segment. We will wait to see if the brand new BMW 8 Series can do it better then its predecessor.
