This is how the Sub Arc Welding Process looks like? Pure Magic!

Sub Arc Welding Process 1 play

If you are the type of person that likes fixing things, they you probably know what welding is. There are numerous types of welding, however we will focus only on one today. In the video we have for you today, you will have the pleasure of seeing how the sub arc welding process looks like! To those of you who don`t know, this is one of the more common ways of welding. You will see how you can complete a double joint pipe by using this particular way of welding!

The process starts with the submerged arc welder pouring a flux of numerous compounds onto the welding joint. This is what makes this type of welding unique. Furthermore, the flux helps to prevent sparks and spatter, because it covers the molten metal. It even suppresses fumes and ultraviolet radiation!

The sub arc welding process shown in this video is completely mechanical. The welding head is stationary, while the pipe is rotating underneath it. From the flux hopper, the flux is deposited onto the welding joint, and the submerged arc welder does its magic! You can`t see the molten metal because it is covered by a `blanket` of flux, but you can hear the welding. Because the pipe is rotating, all the unnecessary flux falls to the ground.

You can see the final result at the end of this video! The welding looks really good, and the pipe is completely jointed. If you are a welder, we have a feeling that you will really appreciate this video! Apparently, this way of welding is rather tricky, and seeing a pipe being perfectly welded by using this method is quite a treat! Watch the video below and let us know what you think about the sub arc welding process! Enjoy.
