I wouldn`t wish this kind of accident on my worst enemy. Imagine the bill you get when you crash your car, and then try to picture what it would look like when your ship crashes into a port, or even worse, another ship!
I can definitely understand that these things happen but that is a whole lot of tons to just ram into things and ship navigation crews and captains are sufficiently trained to prevent these situations from happening. Either way, sometimes they do and we get to see these accidents happen in this video.It seems terrifying from another perspective than just the bill though – if you were a captain, you would undoubtedly face multiple felony charges, hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines and public shaming, of course.
However, if you were just a random passerby as one huge ship crashes into another ship, a bridge, a port or a beach, you would probably be terrified out of your mind!
Imagine an object so big that it has a weight of thousands of tons just crashing into something attached to the planet. You don`t have to imagine it anymore, watch this video and everything will become clear as day.
