Perfectly Restored 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396!

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396

This perfect combination of solid body with the right red color, can only be seen at the perfectly restored 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396. This sports coupe got its new fancy look with the tapered front fenders, the classic long-hood/short-deck profile and the circled beltline. Between the fresh stainless trim and the black grille, the pompous “SS 396” logo lies down, catching everyone`s attention.

The windows are traced with great maintenance and brightwork and highlighted by the superb vinyl top. We can go on…Then below the perfectly shaped windows, lies the new chrome door with the handles that complement the perfect driver`s mirror, then the rocker panels, the new chrome bumper and a stainless exhaust tips.

When it comes to the performance, this monster can boost 325 hph and 410lb, from the original 396 cubic inch L35 big block V8, that uses oval-port closed chamber heads, a traditional hydraulic lifter and a forged steel crankshaft. The Quadrajet carburetor lies on the top of the motor.

At the front of the motor, there is a reproduction Delco Energizer battery, accommodated next to a radiator, dressed up with several hoses and tower clamps for reproduction. Despite all modifications, some things are still in its original form, such as the Frigidaire AC compressor and the stainless fuel lines as well as the gray hood hardware.

The chassis, the floorpans, the exterior panels and the L35 big block, on the other hand, were completely factory-made and restored in order this 3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic 400, to look and to perform the way it does now.

The exhaust flows into the dual pipes and goes to the Flowmaster dual chamber mufflers and the stainless tips. Each time this 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 takes its beautiful body for a walk, the road is being passed over the massive 15 inch rally wheels that are 235/70 Gooodyear Eagle GTIIs,  if that means something to you.

The steering wheel is perfectly adjusted in front of the driver and the great looking dash that embodies completely redone gauges, air conditioning system, a direct Kenwood old school cassette player and a warp-free pad. On both doors, the official SS 396 logo, proudly stands.

Finally, what do you think of this Chevelle on 24″ rims?
