This 700$ C1 CORVETTE From Craigslist Turned To Be A LE MANS Prototype Worth MILLIONS!

This car may have seemed like just an early Chevrolet C1 Corvette, but it was way more than that. A real shame for the guy who first put it up for sale on Craigslist to be sold for $700. This was a huge mistake from his part.

This car is actually the No. 1 Corvette Cunningham. It is the most desirable Corvette ever built! The Cunningham Corvette is a car of which only three were built.

It`s a 1960 C1 model and all three of them were converted into racing cars by Briggs Cunningham to race at Le Mans that same year.

However, only the number 3 car made it to the finish line and managed to win its class as well. After the race, all three of them were converted back for the street and sold. After that, they vanished for years.

The winning number 3 car was the first to be found and fully restored. The number 2 car was sighted in a junkyard located in California, but is now restored and on display at the Petersen Car Museum. The number 1 car, according to Fox News, has been identified and in the ownership of a car dealer from Indiana. However, there is no information how much money this guy payed for the Cunningham Chevrolet C1 Corvette. Nevertheless, a complete restoration is underway.

The restoration is estimated to cost more than 500,000 dollars. The whole procedure should take around a year. Then, it should be sold. It`s expected the owner to ask somewhere from 3 million to 7 million dollars, if not more. There is a lesson to be learned here. If you want to put something for sale on an online platform, please do your homework folks. Who knows? You might miss out on millions!
