1975 Norton Commando, 1989 Matchless G80, Triumph T160 & Bonnevilles Motorbikes Found In A Warehouse In Belgium!

1975 Norton Commando 11

Here`s something you definitely don`t stumble upon every day. In a warehouse in Belgium, 11 new 1975 Norton Commando motorbikes were found still sitting idly in the crate for all of these years – awaiting final assembly!

These motorbikes were found after the death of Motoshop Podevyn`s owner in Aalst, Belgium. Amazingly, these motorbikes are not even a portion of the entire collection found there.

According to sources, the owner of this shop had quite a rep for being difficult when it comes to letting go of bikes and parts. That`s how he managed to amass such a huge collection over the years.

Apart from the 11 Norton Commando motorbikes, a Peter Williams Norton-powered racer was found. Elsewhere in the collection, a 1989 Matchless G80a, T160 Triumph, many Bonnevillles, a huge piles of seats, wheels and many racks of new-old-stock gas tanks can be found as well.

In this auction, there were up to 400 lots offered. Imagine all the money these specimens will bring?

According to a report, the cheapest Norton Commando went for around $21,000, the most expensive for $23,000. One matchless G80 was sold for $12,000. Unfortunately, we don`t have information how much money generated all of the pieces sold at this auction.

There are some dealerships in the USA dealing Norton bikes as well, check them out!
