1969 DODGE CHARGER DAYTONA – ENJOY THE MOPAR SOUND!

MOPAR SOUND '69 Charger Daytona Acceleration

Here we go with one short but effective video in which, as the title says, the main role is for the legendary Mopar muscle beast, the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Taking into an account that back in 1969, this awesome car was made in only 503 units, it is always a real pleasure watching this NASCAR legend in action and listening to the one and only Mopar sound (which is a real music for the ears of every Gearhead in this world). It is a clip from the moments when the `69 Charger Daytona was `taking off` from the parking lot, during the Cars and Coffee event.

So just in short, a little bit from the history of this classic Mopar beauty. By the time it was created, Dodge did not have any significant success on the track, despite the great market numbers of the Charger (especially the 1968 Dodge Charger model). So they created the Charger Daytona, a car with numerous (and very much visible) changes in the design, with much longer nose and bigger and highly mounted rear wing, and many other features that improved its aerodynamics. Of course, there was the fearsome 426 HEMI motor that, apart from the awesome Mopar sound, was generating 425 HP and 490 pound feet of torque. Also, the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, along with the 1970 Plymouth Superbird, was the first car for which computer analyzes was implemented for the improvement of the dynamics.
