10 THINGS We All MISS A LOT About OLD CARS!!!

We live in an era with modern cars, technology at its finest etc. We must admit that cars nowadays are superb! They are so safe, so comfortable and not easily broken. Every year we witness newer and newer car models, with the best and unseen technology ever. Some can be started with a voice! Some can be driven by themselves! Some can be driven on ice and snow and there is no way that you will get lost while driving, because they are connected to the Internet and they will tell you where you should go! And after all of that, we start missing almost everything about our old cars. There are no perfect things, as there are no perfect solutions, and to be honest, sometimes getting lost announces unforgettable road adventures that you will surely remember for the rest of your life. Apart from that, there are some car parts that cannot be replaced by even the most modern innovations. Some habits have also been torn away…

So, after all foresaid, get ready to see a pretty interesting list that will make you want to get into a DeLorean that will take you back to the past.

#1 Old Cars had POP-UP HEADLIGHTS

Do you remember the Pop-Up head lights?! These things were AWESOME and they looked really cool!!! Unfortunately, they are not produced any more due to several reasons! What happened?! Probably the new safety regulations, but whatever the reason is there is no way that you will a new car model that has this astonishing feature. The last such design was produced by Chevrolet, and I guess you know we are talking about the loving 2004 Chevy Corvette.

#2 THIN A-PILLARS

The A-pillars used to be so thin back in the days which made driving much easier! The new safety measures by the car manufacturers have once cut a pleasure of ours and we came to a point when we miss our old because back then we were able to see clearer while driving. A question arises: Have we totally changed our driving experience?!

#3 Old Cars and their MANUAL GEARBOXES

We also had MANUAL gearboxes. Kids nowadays would not be able to drive a car if it`s not an automatic! Which is not bad, but many Gearheads find manual gearboxes more traditional and feel a greater connection with the car that way! I mean, while driving manual, I feel myself like I continuously forget to do something. That`s a strange feeling!

#4 T-TOP ROOFS

Oh, and do you remember the T-top roofs? Yeah, sure, they would leak every now and then. But then again, you felt like you had two cars, a convertible and a hard top! Unfortunately, this brilliant thing is also a part of our past. No more easy removable panels that can be placed behind the seats in special bags.

#5 SIMPLE INTERIORS

And remember how simple the interiors were? It wasn`t like today when you enter a car and get blind from all the lights and confused by all the buttons! Electronic parking brake, start buttons, no place for keys in the center console or something… I mean, why make things simple when one can make them complicated. Ugh!

#6 KEYS LIKE KEYS

I don`t know which day the Big Brother said that all actual keys should be replaced with something more innovative, but whatever the reason is – WE MISS THE TRADITIONAL CAR KEYS!!! The things went too far and therefore you should start preparing yourself to keep your voice safe all of the time and not getting ill or something – because hey – you will have to start your car tomorrow!

#7 BEING ABLE TO FIX OUR OWN CAR

And here is the straw that broke the camel`s back!Are you honestly fed up with  giving a bunch of money for your car repairs and that happens like at least twice a year? Or maybe you give up when you have to find the shop that has the special parts for your car and is not in a radius of 50 miles of your home?! Oh, yes, we miss our old cars and repairing them by our own was actually enjoyable.

#8 LIGHT WEIGHT

Light-weighted vehicles have always guaranteed an unforgettable driving experience where pure enjoyment takes place. That is one reason plus to love the nowadays made carbon fiber vehicles and of course, one reason plus to miss our old beauties. However, the fun here has rules and light cars definitely demand greater driver focus and concentration. Plus – these cars are easy to push when something goes wrong.

#9 Old Cars and those ATTRACTIVE STEERING WHEELS

I think that car manufacturers cannot realize that we were also alive when our steering wheels did not have the option to answer a call. Even the radio can be set up and the speed of the cruise control can be changed… We should not be surprised if the future ones can take selfies!!! However, we got the answer why some modern steering wheels of today are getting easily heated!!! Give us back the old ones!!!

#10 A FULL-SIZED SPARE WHEEL

Finally, the time has come to end this sad list for today, although this last thing is maybe one of the most irritating features that a majority of modern cars have nowadays – and yes we are talking about the SPARE WHEEL! Eight years ago auto makers have started to decrease the number of vehicles that come equipped with full-size spare wheels. So maybe the first plan was to make more space, but it came out that it was made just another loss of performance.
