LAMBORGHINI Huracan Performante Set The NEW Production Car WORLD RECORD At The Nurburgring!

Marco Mapelli, Lamborghini`s test driver, made history with the upcoming Lamborghini Huracan Performante . The Performante managed to set a new production car world record at the Nurburgring. Mapelli drove an outstanding lap with a time of 6:52.01. You can see the entire video below as the Performante is storming through the 12.8 miles track. The footage is excellent as well because the Performante is equipped with telemetry and onboard cameras both inside and out. Many top Lamborghini representatives were present at the track. Representatives like Lambo technicians, R&D engineers and drivers as well. Stefano Domenicali, CEO and Chairman of Lamborghini, was also present.

The Lambo development team was also joined by representatives from Pirelli. Pirelli made tires that were specially made for the Huracan Performante. The tires used are semi-slick. Nevertheless, they are still road-legal. The upcoming Lambo Huracan Performante has many innovations in lightweight engineering and aerodynamics. In combination with its FWD system, dedicated set-up and improved powered plant, the Performante allows superior track performance. Besides being a god on the track, it also delivers the most dynamic and engaging road drive. The state-of-the art aerodynamics tech includes an active rear wing and front spoiler. This system is dubbed Lamborghini Active Aerodynamics or Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attivia (it sounds much cooler in Italian).
