Do you agree with this slow Left Lane Driving problem?
Highway drivers can be split into two groups. The first are those who get very upset about people who practice left lane driving. The second group are those who constantly drive in the left lane without knowing that that they are doing something wrong! Every state in the US has a law regarding left lane driving. It`s usually laws that are restricting driving on the left lane. However, that doesn`t mean you can`t use it. It just means that drivers should use the left lane in order to pass vehicles in the right lane! Why this rule?
The video below explains exactly why! Even if you are driving very fast, almost always there is someone going faster. So when a driver gets back to the right lane immediately after passing, that car will have the opportunity to pass you.
This is reducing safety risks and traffic build ups as well! One perfect example where everyone follows this rule is the German Autobahn! The Autobahn system boasts lower fatality and accident rates even though it has much higher and in some cases nonexistent speed limits!
It is not just about common courtesy to the drivers behind you, but a real question of safety!
