Racing in a rally is always dangerous as drivers reach very high speed while making unbelievable sharp turns and drifts, but one such rally is so exceptional among every other one and is regarded as the most dangerous race series ever driven.

Lots of fatalities have occurred even from its start and so they are regarded as the Legends of the Killer B`s. But how come such rally is so fatal to lots of drivers? Well, Group B, as it is regarded, was an FIA Class with limited regulations just so it could attract manufacturers. It was first started in 1982 and ended up just four years later, which is 1986 due to many fatalities. Their cars were so fast that the drivers would get the so called “tunnel vision syndrome”.



Michelle Mouton was the most successful female rally driver in its history. What was achieved in just these 4 years is truly remarkable. The power output was increased from 250 HP to staggering 600 HP. What they did to these cars back in 1986 was very controversial. The supercharged as well as turbocharged a Lancia Delta S4.

It was rumored that this Lancia set the same circuit lap time as a Formula 1 car. Technicians often found blood, hair and severed fingers during repairs, which exemplifies how dangerous these cars were.
