Check Out This 1970 Ford Mustang SportsRoof “Overkill”!

This 1970 Ford Mustang SportsRoof was build by Philip Koenen from North Bend, Oregon. It has a 427 cubic inch-engine with a `65 427 SOHC block. The Ford distributor with electronic conversion and the forged steel crankshaft are top notch. The beast has Tremec TKO 600 five-speed transmission with a McLeod 11-inch clutch, hydraulic throwout bearing and a pressure plate.

The front suspension is consisted of Speedway Engineering 1 ¼ -inch antisway bar, Woodward rack-and-pinion, 2-inch drop spindles, Penske adjustable shocks and more. The rear one is consisted of Hyperco springs and Triangulated four-bar with Speedway Engineering 7/8-inch antisway bar. The exhaust is 3-inched one with hand-fabricated mufflers build by Jeff Yost.

The Ford Mustang SportsRoof interior is equipped with Cobra seats, Electric Life power windows, aluminum dash with Auto Meter gauges, Momo steering wheels, custom console and etc. This beast is painted with PPG two-stage black paint, designed and realized by Byers Customs, Auburn, Washington. The wheels, front and rear ones are GTG-designed billet aluminum centers, size 17×9.5 at the front and 17×11 at the rear end and the tires are BFGoodrich g-Force KD, size P275/40ZR17 at the front and P315/35ZR17 at the rear end.
