1959 Chevrolet Impala: Meet The Mighty “Power Monger”!

We met Rod Nance and his 1959 Chevrolet Impala in Florida, and love at first sight happened. We bonded immediately. As Rod said, he didn`t want a usual fast car, he wanted to make a statement by owning this kind of monster. He gathered a team, and they worked on the car for four years.

They set a 9.5 Merlin block in order to displace 509 cubes. The car also has DartPro 1 aluminum heads, JE supercharged 7:9:1-compression pistons. There is also a Griffin intercooler and a ProCharger F1R that puts out around 17 psi of boost. The vehicle boost 808 hp and 1000 lb-ft of torque at all the rear wheels. The interior looks as astonishing as the exterior. There are some cool toches like the marine-grade red carpet, the custom leather/suede seats, a B&M shifter and Auto Meter gauges. There is also an air-conditioning system, an epic rollcage, Pioneer stereo with Audiobahn amps and a fine-looking steering wheels.
Rod speaks about his baby with great pride. “It`s as fast as a heart attack”.

Finally, do you like the way Lebron James pimped his Impala?
